If every vampire who said he was at the Crucifixion was actually there, it would have been like Woodstock.
There was a time I thought I tamed Love
And set her place among the other things
Like kitchen plates, or cups, or other stuff
And books, and songs, and cabbages, and kings.

I thought she's slave, 'cause she preten'd to be,
For long she acted as one of handy tools.
Then came a time when she rebelled on me,
When she rebelled and set her own rules.

I was all helpless, for her strength has grown
Beside my eye, and since she broke her chain
I can't no more pretend it's on my own,
Can't keep her if she wants to fly away.

Her vengeance will be cruel, fast and smart,
And here I am - a subject to my Heart.
